Cooper Antennas Ltd (CAL) is a UK company that brings together an exceptional team of internationally respected professionals with a combined experience of over 100 years in the design, development and production of Military and Civil Antennas & Communication Equipment. The management team of CAL has been responsible for providing hundreds of thousands of antennas for the world market.

CAL’s senior personnel have many years experience in successfully contracting with Governments. Most of this experience was gained whilst CAL’s Managing Director, Geoff Cooper, and a number of the CAL team were with Chelton (a Cobham plc company). As Managing Director and co-founder of the Chelton group, Mr. Cooper developed it into one of the largest and most successful antenna companies in the world - both through internal growth and acquisition. Geoff Cooper left Chelton after 37years and formed Cooper Antennas Ltd in 2005. Key members of the CAL management team have worked with Geoff over many years.

CAL’s team of professionals is dedicated to providing innovative, reliable, designed-to-cost antenna solutions for today’s increasingly network enabled defence forces.

CAL is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and is listed as approved supplier to a number of OEM’s.

CAL currently resides in the UK’s Thames Valley – a 6 acre site near Marlow were there is an 80’ VHF/UHF/L-band antenna test range together with engineering labs and a prototyping workshop.

The production area is segregated into assembly / test, process and kitting areas. There are also separate Bonded Stores for incoming goods and finished products. Several meeting rooms and offices are available in a country park like location.

Aviatech serves as the management and technical liaison office for CAL in the United States. As such, Aviatech normally serves as prime contractor for programs with the U.S. government.

Aviatech is an engineering and management-consulting firm. The Company was established in 1970. Since then it has provided these services to government agencies, aircraft manufacturers and electronic systems manufacturers throughout the world. The company has extensive experience in antenna systems design and application.

Aviatech’s principal office, aircraft hangar and other facilities are located near DFW Airport in Texas. This office is managed by Mr. Patrick Carr, who has over 35 years experience in designing antenna systems and managing production programs. He was Vice President of Dorne and Margolin, Inc (now EDO) when that company designed and manufactured many innovative communication antennas for the U.S Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Army.
